I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Cal Poly. During that time I served as a Hotshot firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service and later worked in fire prevention with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Those years developed strong decision making under pressure and a deep understanding of fire behavior that now informs my wildfire mitigation work.

In 2002 I transitioned into estate grounds management in Montecito, California, where I managed botanical collections and large landscape operations across multiple properties for a single client. Over 15 years I oversaw crews of up to 50 gardeners and managed the long-term health and development of gardens and trees across numerous estates.

Since 2017 I have operated an independent arborist and horticultural consulting practice, advising estate owners and management teams on tree management, garden diagnostics, landscape operations, and wildfire protection planning.

My work is often requested and required to be performed with strict client privacy and confidentiality, as this is critical for my clients and is equally important to me.
